A Day of Adventure:

Glendalough is a scenic location, which is 48 miles away from the City of Dublin and located in a province called wicklow - Republic of Ireland. A place where, a medieval monastic settlement was made in the 6th century.

During the 18th and 19th century, the place was famous for its mines and minerals. If you are a nature lover and have a great interest in history, you must atleast visit the place once in your life time.

It is such a wonderful place in the web of the mother's nature. A real panoramic place indeed!!

Panorama, & Pictures:

Beautiful glacier of water, you can call it a lake, adds a substantial beauty to this Glendalough. The water is pristine & untouched by human beings.

The birds and flowers invite the occasional visitors with a long melodies of music along with the freshness of the air.

At times, I wonder can there be a place without the touch of the iron hand of humans?

The nature in its course cures and beautifies itself over a period of time and goes back to it's original form.

Trek & Cycle amidst nature:

Nature's Treasure: While we went there, we were invited by a long grown willow wood trees and avenue roads. We could not see many human inhabitations in that area.

May be that adds to the beauty to the area!!

The cool breeze originating from the water, plenty of trees all around and chirpy sounds of the birds adds to wholesome beauty to the location.

If you love to walk, or like to go around in a cycle or chit chat with friends or family and enjoy the bounty of nature it is the place to be!!

Places of History:

An Old Church - During our visit, we could see the remains of a miner's village with number of quarters for the workers.

We could see one or two crushers, a medieval day church and other remains in the hands of nature.

The whole schema of things picturises, how a simple and nature driven living of the erstwhile generations that, had lived during their life!!

We could not see a trace of materialism but the trace of nature anywhere and everywhere and all around the place!
